Our Mission
We want to prepare our children to excel by providing a safe, clean Christian, high quality, and individually tailored residential temporary care home to the community for ages 7 to 17 that promotes their health and well-being. We are committed to providing a strong foundation for our children by focusing on the development of their cognitive, social, and physical skills.
Our Goals
Each child will be encouraged to live a purposeful life through spiritual enlightenment, emotional stability, physical well-being, and self-esteem building.To teach positive self-assessment by encouraging self-confidence and self-understanding.To foster excellence in social interaction and communication skills.To provide a loving and Christian environment that encourages problem solving with the use of biblical principles and to prepare your child with the necessary tools to succeed in an educational setting.
Our Philosophy
It is our philosophy at AJHS that there are numerous types of abuse and neglect that requires different treatment approaches. It is AJHS desire to give each youth a safe, loving Christian home environment. Abundance Of Joy is a General Residential Operation that serves teenage girls between the ages of 5 to 12 and who are experiencing Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, and Primary Medical Needs. We here at Abundance of Joy Home Shelter is dedicated to ensuring her unique needs, strengths and treatment goals will be met and tailored to everyone. Each person who decides to stay at AJHS can expect to be valued as a unique individual who is worthy of the best care that we provide. We respect our youth's strengths and weakness and we are committed to providing all care in atmosphere of the utmost dignity and respect. AJHS General Residential Operation strives to provide the highest quality of care available to our youths. Our goal is to restore each youth to a healthier, happier, more productive life and free from destructive behaviors.
Our Commitment
Abundance of Joy Home Shelter believes that every child's maximum potential is achieved by maximum input for maximum output. AJHS is committed to minister to children of the ages 5 to 12 without discrimination of any sort. Each caregiver of the child will treat and respect the privacy of the residents and will work hard to gain the trust and self confidence that the girls are lacking. We firmly believe this quality of care on our part will be one of everlasting joy. Every child's greatness is achieved by what is instilled in her. We will give them the best and we will expect no less. We personally welcome each resident with open arms and hope that each child will trust and work on self-values as an individual.
